Racing – A Childhood Dream

From as early as I can remember, I’ve carried two dreams: to fly and to race cars. Even as a young boy, I was captivated by these pursuits, though I’ve often wondered what sparked such fascination. Today, the passion I felt back then remains just as strong.

My journey began with a focus on competitive cycling and duathlon in my youth, occasionally venturing onto the squash court. Twenty-five years ago, I fulfilled one part of my dream by earning my pilot’s license, and I’ve since become an active glider pilot and flight instructor—a role that continues to bring immense satisfaction.

The other dream, motorsport, took longer to realize. Limited by finances, time, and access, I could only pursue it much later in life. After years of preparation, I finally competed in my first season of the Porsche Sport Cup Suisse in 2021, bringing a childhood vision to life. Since then until the end of 2024, I’ve started in 54 races and finished with 29 Podiums, 2 vice-campion titles in the Porsche Sports Cup Suisse so far. While it’s not Formula 1 or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, these achievements marks my commitment to pushing my own limits and striving for growth.

Motorsport, to me, is about much more than speed, competition, or the adrenaline rush of making split-second decisions under pressure in a high complex system. It’s a unique arena that exposes our deepest strengths and weaknesses, often with striking clarity. These moments of unfiltered self-reflection have the power to transform not only our approach to racing but also our broader perspective on life. In this way, motorsport serves as much more than a sport—it is a profound school of life.

Through flying and racing, I continue to chase challenges that inspire me to evolve, proving that some childhood dreams are worth pursuing for a lifetime.
